The popular music teacher of a small Lebanese village, Leba (Georges Khabbaz), marries his childhood sweetheart, Lara, who bears him two lovely daughters. However, when their only son Ghadi is born with a disability, he is equally nurtured and loved by his family. Amidst growing rejection of the child, the neighbors conspire to admit him to a care home without the parents’ knowledge. Leba in return forges an ingenious plan with the help of other outsiders to convince the neighbors of how wonderful Ghadi in fact is. This warm-hearted comedy celebrates small town life as a magical fable and challenges both Lebanese machismo as well as social normalization pressure.
