From inside a baroque styled room, the camera focuses on the outside world — on another space, the possibility of another life. The camera becomes the filmmaker’s mediator and accomplice in this autobiogra-
phical exploration of concepts of masculinity and belonging. The film approaches issues such as sexual and social identity from a radically personal perspective in which nationality, class, and family play an equally important role as perception and desire. Between a dominant mother, an absent father and the Syrian construction workers renovating Anthony’s teenage bedroom, the reconstruction of a queer identity between Argentina and Lebanon takes form.
