Since 1956, Yousef and his wife Amna live in a shack in the Roshmia Valley. Life is quiet until the municipality of Haifa endorses a new road project across the valley, which will result in the demolition of their shack and their expulsion. Aouni, a friend of the family, acts as a middleman between them and the municipality. Negotiations lead to tension amongst the three, as Yousef does not want to be dispersed again. The noise of construction machines and permanent visits of journalists continue to destroy the idyll. Abu Jabal worked as a journalist himself, before he started filmmaking. Roshmia is his feature debut.
